Read to your child daily. You can visit our public library and participate in the many summer events they have. Dates and calendar for events can be found on the website.

Sight Words: Sight words are so much fun to practice at home. You and your child can go on a sight word using the newspaper! Search for sight words and circle them with a highlighter then making a list on a composition notebook.

Science is everywhere around us! Children can go exploring in the backyard and document on a journal all the animals or creatures they see. The Gladys Porter Zoo also holds many events in the summer for young scholars. Visit their website for more information.
